Fractured Prune Doughnut Shop To Close In Leesburg

LEESBURG, VA — Owners of Fractured Prune, a donut shop comprised of franchises across the nation, announced the Leesburg location will close Sept. 1. The store at 1604 Village Market Blvd. is the only Fractured Prune in Virginia — the closest store is located in Frederick, Md.

While owners plan to close the storefront, they said in a Facebook post they will continue to book events and operate their food truck across NoVA.

Known for its dense cake doughnuts in flavors like banana cream pie and French toast, Fractured Prune opened its original store in Ocean City, Md., in 1976, Eater DC reported.
