Fugitive Caught After High-Speed Chase In Loudoun County: LCSO

LEESBURG, VA—A fugitive wanted on felony drug charges was arrested Friday after a high-speed chase through the county, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Shawn K. Murray, 36, of Gainesville, was charged with felony reckless driving, driving on a revoked license, as well as felony drug charges out of Prince William County: two counts of possession of a scheduled I or II narcotic.

Around 4:30 p.m., police spotted Murray driving on Harmony Church Road near Hamilton and tried to make a traffic stop but Murray instead took off toward Route 15. Once on it, he sideswiped one vehicle and rear-ended another in a traffic circle at Route 15 and Route 50 (Gilberts Corner).

That's where police nabbed him, and he was arrested without further incident. The driver and the passenger in the vehicle that was rear-ended were treated for minor injuries.
