Hillsboro Recycling Center Set To Close In January

Loudoun County residents are encouraged to use the Central Western Loudoun Recycling Center.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA —Loudoun County plans to close its drop-off recycling center located in Hillsboro, the county announced Tuesday. The center, currently located at the Hillsboro Charter Academy, will close by Jan. 1.

Loudoun County residents are encouraged to use the Central Western Loudoun Recycling Center, located approximately six miles from Hillsboro at 38159 Colonial Hwy. in Hamilton, at the Loudoun County Public Schools Valley Service Center. Service capacity will be expanded at the Hamilton location, if needed, to support any increase in the collection of recyclables.

In the future, Loudoun County officials said they plan to investigate a possible relocation of the Hillsboro center to a site closer to the community.
