LCHS Coach Earns High Honor
The National Federation of State High School Associations has named Jenica Matthias as their Coach's of the Year Awards recipient for the 2010-2011 season.
It was announced today that Volleyball Coach Jenica Matthias was the recipient of Virginia's Coach's of the Year Awards for the 2010-2011 seasons, which was presented by the National Federation of State High School Associations. She was also named the coach of the year for volleyball in all of Section 2 - Mideast.
The United States is made up of eight sections and Section 2 - Mideast includes: DE, DC, KY, MD, OH, PA, VA, WV.
Coach Matthias won the award for coach of the year in volleyball in Section 2 and was one of the eight finalists for the National Coach of the year for Volleyball for the 2010-2011 season after leading the LCHS Raiders to a fourth consecutive state championship.
