LEESBURG, VA — The Loudoun County Health Department recorded violations at several facilities around the Leesburg area during recent inspections. The most recently published round of inspections occurred between June 8 and June 14.
Many COVID-19 restrictions around the state have relaxed, so health inspectors are returning to conduct some restaurant inspections in person. However, some visits, such as those for training purposes, can be conducted virtually.
Violations at restaurants typically focus on factors that can contribute to food contamination. The local health department can also perform a re-inspection to ensure that possible violations have been corrected.

- Korma 90F was cooling since 9AM temperature was taken about 12:20PM.
- Observed onion 47F and tomato sauces 49F setting on the stove top at an improper cold holding temperature. In walk cooler Vaneer 45F at an improper cold holding temperature.
- Observed chicken in walk in cooler tightly covered that was prepped earlier.
- Observed foods being store on the floor of the walk in cooler.
- Observed cutting broads on both prep cooler in kitchen with heavy cuts and scaring.
- The facility had no testing strips to test the concentration of chlorine sanitizer.
- Observed prep coolers in kitchen the doors had a build up of dirt and grime as well as the walls behind cooking area with a build up of dirt and grime.

- Total violations: 5
- Observed several ants on/by 2 compartment sink and potato crusher.
- Observed rice pudding in a grab & go manner not properly labeled. Food only contained the prep date and expiration date. Repeat violation.
- Observed coleslaw and potato salad cold holding at improper temperatures (53F, 57F) at the cold line. EHS observed ice in unit melted.
- Observed employee washing and rinsing black food storage containers and placing containers in clean storage after. Containers were never sanitized. Sanitizer not set up at 3 compartment sink at time of inspection when wares were being washed and rinsed.
- This facility does not have a certified food protection manager. Certificates present at facility are expired.
