Leesburg Health Inspections: Bonchon, CMX Village Cinemas
The Loudoun County Health Department recorded violations at multiple Leesburg facilities during a recent round of inspections.
LEESBURG, VA — Several restaurants around Leesburg and western Loudoun County recorded violations during recent inspections from the health department. Inspectors conducted the most recent restaurant visits between Nov. 23 and Nov. 29.
Most COVID-19 restrictions around the state have relaxed, so health inspectors are returning to conduct some restaurant inspections in person. However, some visits, such as those for training purposes, can be conducted virtually.
Violations at restaurants typically focus on factors that can contribute to food contamination. The local health department can also perform a re-inspection to ensure that possible violations have been corrected.

For every observed violation, the inspector provides a specific corrective action that can be completed to rectify the violation. Sometimes these are simple, and violations can be corrected during the course of the inspection.

- Observed to soap at hand sinks at the café area and in the women's bathroom.
- The bar dishwasher chlorine sanitizer tested 0 ppm.
- Observed slicer with food and debris at the base near the blade. In the popper area the bun warmer drawers had leftover food debris from last use.
- Observed black beans 118F and marinara 113F hot held food should be maintained at 135F or above.
- Observed wiping cloth in a quaternary bucket with 0 ppm.
- There was no means to test the chlorine levels at bar dishwasher.
- There was no means to test the temperature of the high temperature dishwasher.
- The counters in the popper area are in need of cleaning.

- Observed milk hot holding at 125F.

- The bar hand sink had spoons in the sink.
- Hand sink by 3 compartment sink had no paper towels.
- Observed wings 115F in hot box foods held in hot holding needs to be maintained at 135F or above.
- Observed kimchi 47F prep cooler 1, coleslaw 50F prep cooler 1, and kimchi 46F in 2 door reach in cooler foods held cold should be maintained at 41F or below.
- Observed raw chicken thawing in a metal bowl on the counter.
- Observed a small cockroach in the dish washing area walking chemical container. When EHS opened top part of prep cooler 1 there was a medium cockroach that ran across the lid of coleslaw.
- Observed a build up of a dark substance on the plastic guard of the ice machine. The doors of reach in coolers and prep cooler have a build up dirt and debris.
- Observed the filters of the hood system dripping residue.
