Leesburg, VA (Revised 10/12/2020; Original 10/11/2020) – The Leesburg Police Department Criminal Investigation Section (CIS) is investigating a residential burglary and sexual assault that occurred early Saturday morning at a residence in the 400 block of Evans Ridge Terrace NE.

On October 10, 2020 at approximately 12:13 AM, Leesburg Police Dispatchers received a report of a burglary and sexual assault at a residence. The adult female victim reported that she was awoken by a male subject standing in her bedroom. The male exposed himself and then inappropriately touched the victim over her clothing. The victim told the subject to leave repeatedly and he fled the residence. The victim required no immediate medical treatment. The male subject was last seen fleeing the residence on foot. There were no signs of forced entry to the residence.
The suspect is described as a white or Hispanic male, slender build, in his late teens to early 20’s, medium height, clean shaven, with medium length curly dark hair, and possibly wearing a red t-shirt.

The incident remains under investigation by the Leesburg Police Department.
