Leesburg Restaurant Inspections: Violations At Four Locations
The Loudoun County Health Department cited violations at 4 different restaurants during their most recent round of inspections in Leesburg.
LEESBURG, VA — Officials from the Loudoun County Health Department inspected multiple restaurants across the Leesburg area from Aug. 26 to Aug. 31, including four different locations with violations.
As coronavirus restrictions continue to fluctuate around the state, health inspectors are returning to conduct some restaurant inspections in person. However, some visits, such as those for training purposes, can be conducted virtually.
Violations at restaurants typically focus on factors that can contribute to food contamination. The local health department can also perform a re-inspection to ensure that possible violations have been corrected.

For every observed violation, the inspector provides a specific corrective action that can be completed to rectify the violation. Sometimes these are simple, and violations can be corrected during the course of the inspection.

- A container of tuna fish salad found on the cook line was not date labeled. Menu for this week listed Tuna Fish as the lunch/supper item for Monday of this week.
- A container of beef barley stew and a container of chicken pot pie were observed with a date label of 8/18/21.
- A wet wiping cloth was found improperly stored on the countertop.

- Observed no verifiable manner that food employees and conditional employees are informed to report to the person in charge, information about their health and activities as they relate to diseases that are transmissible through food. PIC was unable to show employees currently working have been informed.

- Observed seal on 1 door white refrigeration unit ripped and in poor condition.
