Leesburg Stabbing Victim In Stable Condition: Police

A 44-year-old man was taken by helicopter to a local trauma center where he is listed in stable condition, Leesburg police said.

LEESBURG, VA — A 44-year-old man was stabbed in the upper body in Leesburg Sunday evening, according to the police department. The victim was transported by helicopter to a local trauma center where he is listed as being in stable condition, the Leesburg Police Department said Tuesday.

On Sunday shortly before 6 p.m., Leesburg police dispatchers received a report of a possible fight in the 0-99 block of Plaza Street NE. Upon arrival, police found the male victim suffering from a stab wound. Officers performed lifesaving measures before he was transported to the hospital, the police department said.

The incident remains under investigation by the Leesburg Police Department. Anyone who witnessed the stabbing and who has not already spoken to a law enforcement officer is asked to contact Leesburg Detective J. Graham at 703-771-4500 or at jgraham@leesburgva.gov.
