Local Parents Needed For Grading Committee

LCPS is looking for parents willing to join a county-wide committee of teachers, principals, and administrators to provide guidance on assessment and grading practices and the upcoming opening of the LCPS Parent Portal – CLARITY.

Loudoun County Public Schools is seeking parents who want to be part of an Assessment and Grading Steering Committee. This committee will offer recommendations toward achieving consistency in assessment and grading practices.

Committee members will participate in creating action plans that address what professional development is needed for teachers to become more comfortable, competent and consistent with standards-aligned assessment, and how to better prepare teachers and parents for the opening of the parent portal of CLARITY in September 2012.

Those who are interested in serving on the committee should call LCPS at 571-252-1000 or visit www.research.net/s/ParentCmte_Assessment.
