Loudoun County Man Accused Of Sexually Assaulting Child

LEESBURG, VA — A Leesburg man is facing charges after authorities said he sexually assaulted a child.

Jose Edwin Ruano Navas, 32, was arrested Wednesday and charged with aggravated sexual battery of a minor under the age of 13.

Ruano Navas' arrest came two days after the Leesburg Police Department received a report about a child who was sexually assaulted. Following the report, detectives immediately launched an investigation.

Authorities did not provide additional information about the incident.

Following his arrest, Ruano Navas was taken to the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center, where he is being held without bond.

The investigation is ongoing.
