Loudoun County Schools Make Weather Decision For Dec. 16
There has been a change to Monday's schedule based on weather, according to Loudoun County Public Schools.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA ā Public schools in Loudoun County will be closed Monday, Dec. 16, because of the weather. Officials made the announcement Monday morning.
School administrative offices in Loudoun will be opening at noon. The school system will make an announcment by noon on whether scheduled activities on school campuses may be allowed after 4 p.m.
Weather-related closing and delay messages are sent district-wide in Loudoun County. Messages are sent early in the morning (6 a.m.) or at night (prior to 10 p.m.) notifying parents that schools will be closed or operating on a delay due to inclement weather. Information also is posted on the Loudoun County Public School system website, www.lcps.org, and on the school division's Facebook page and Twitter feed.

The National Weather Service issued a hazardous weather outlook for Loudoun County. Forecasters say snow, freezing rain, and sleet could continue until 1 p.m., with rain or freezing rain likely between 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., then rain after 4 p.m.
Loudoun County Public Schools are closed today, December 16, 2019, with Administrative Offices opening at NOON. Scheduled activities on school campuses may be allowed after 4:00PM. An announcement will be made by NOON.
