Loudoun Foundation Picks Groups For 'Giving Tuesday' Challenge
If the four Loudoun County nonprofit groups meet the $5,000 challenge, the Community Foundation will match with an additional $5,000.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — The Community Foundation for Loudoun and Northern Fauquier Counties has chosen four nonprofit organizations to participate in a fundraising challenge on Dec. 1, or "Giving Tuesday."
As part of the foundation's inaugural Giving Tuesday Matching Challenge, each nonprofit group is challenged to raise $5,000 on Giving Tuesday. If the groups meet the challenge, the foundation's COVID Community Emergency Relief Fund will match with an additional $5,000.
Loudoun County-based human services nonprofit organizations applied earlier in the fall to participate in the Giving Tuesday Matching Challenge. The Community Foundation will match up to $5,000 of donations made to the participating organizations on Giving Tuesday, as well as the week before and the week after Dec. 1.
