Loudoun Hosts Opioid Overdose Training
Loudoun County's training will cover signs of opioid overdose and how to respond to an overdose with the administration of naloxone.
LEESBURG, VA — Loudoun County is hosting a training session on how to recognize and respond to an opioid overdose on Feb. 27. The training is part of Revive!, the state of Virginia's Opioid Overdose and Naloxone Education program.
The next Revive! session in Loudoun is scheduled for Thursday, Feb. 27 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the offices of the Loudoun County Department of Mental Health, Substance Abuse and Developmental Services (MHSADS) at 906 Trailview Boulevard in Leesburg.
The free training covers signs of opioid overdose and how to respond to an opioid overdose emergency with the administration of naloxone, a drug that can be used to treat narcotic overdoses in emergency situations.

The training is open to the public, although advanced registration is required. Those interested in attending may register online at loudoun.gov/revive.
