Loudoun Man Charged With First-Degree Murder In Wife's Shooting: LCSO

ALDIE, VA – The victim in Tuesday’s shooting in Aldie has been identified and a man arrested and charged over the incident.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office announced Tuesday evening that Roger Bradford, 60, of Aldie, had been charged with first-degree murder and using a firearm while committing a felony in the shooting death of Lisa Bradford, 54, earlier that day.

Deputies responded to reports of a shooting on the 24000 block of Quimby Oaks Place shortly after noon on Tuesday. They found Lisa Bradford dead at the scene, LCSO said. Roger Bradford had left the area.

After a three-state search encompassing parts of Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania, Roger Bradford was arrested at approximately 3:15 p.m. by the Pennsylvania State Police in Bedford, Pennsylvania, LCSO said. He is in custody and will be extradited to Virginia.

Loudoun Now reports that Roger and Lisa Bradford were married, and that Loudoun authorities say a relative called 911 after being alerted by Roger himself to the incident. The outlet reports that Roger allegedly used a handgun in the shooting and left the scene in a rental car. The handgun has not been recovered.
