Loudoun YouthFest Returns in June
The annual event draws thousands of teens to the Brambleton Town Center.
Teens will take over the Brambleton Town Center on June 15 for the annual Loudoun YouthFest.
The event, now in its eighth year, was started by and continues to be run by teens.
“Although there are adults involved, the youth take an active role in the running of the event,” said Carol Kost, of Loudoun Youth, Inc., the non-profit partner that helps put on the event.

“They really run the day and that’s kind of awesome to see,” Kost said.
The YouthFest includes local exhibitors such as area nonprofits offering services and service opportunities for teens. The main attraction, however, is the Battle of the Bands event.

“This is really a big stage for them,” Kost said.
Thirty five bands and solo artists competed to take the main stage, where only about a dozen bands will compete. The winning band will open for headliner Mayday Parade.
The event draws about 3,000 teens each year. Tickets are available online for $7.50 or $10 at the door. The event is from 3 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the town center, 42395 Ryan Road. Proceeds benefit Loudoun Youth, Inc.
