Man Charged With Sex Trafficking Pushed Woman From Moving Car: Leesburg Police

Authorities in Leesburg charged a man with sex trafficking after an investigation that began when a woman was pushed from a moving car.

LEESBURG, VA — A man pushed a woman out of a moving vehicle near Leesburg on Wednesday night, according to the Leesburg Police Department. After an investigation, authorities determined the man was involved in commercial sex trafficking.

Authorities did not provide any information about the victim; they only described her as "a female." She was treated at the scene on Wednesday for her injuries.

Police identified the suspect as 39-year-old Andrew Hill of Martinsburg, West Virginia. Hill was charged with commercial sex trafficking, abduction, malicious wounding, and simple assault.

Hill is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. He is scheduled to appear in court on Oct. 17.

If convicted of all charges, Hill could face more than 20 years in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.

Around 6:15 p.m. on Wednesday, callers dialed 911 and told dispatchers that a woman was trying to exit a moving vehicle near the Leesburg Bypass and Fort Evans Road NE. The callers said the driver was holding the woman by her hair, according to the police report. Authorities were unable to find the vehicle.

Around 7:30 p.m., a Loudoun County deputy saw a woman exit a moving vehicle near the Leesburg Bypass and Fort Evans Road NE. The vehicle drove away, police said. The deputy provided first aid to the woman.

Authorities said the woman had been assaulted and pushed from the moving vehicle by a man, who they later identified as Hill. Hill was arrested that evening in Hamilton after a crash.
