Man With Machete Gets Knocked Over In Road Rage Incident: Police
A road rage incident in western Loudoun County resulted in a man pulling a machete out of his truck Monday afternoon, according to police.
PURCELLVILLE, VA — A road rage incident in western Loudoun County Monday afternoon resulted in a man pulling a machete out of his truck and then walking toward another driver who had followed him to his house and parked at the end of his driveway, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. The man with the machete, Bradford C. Johnson of Purcellville, was issued three summonses by the sheriff's office.
The incident occurred around 12:15 p.m. Monday on Ashbury Church Road, near where Route 690 intersects with Route 9. The other driver told police that after seeing Johnson speed past him on Ashbury Church Road, he turned around and followed Johnson to his house and parked at the end of his driveway in the 15000 block of the road. The other driver got back into his car after seeing Johnson walking down his driveway toward him with a machete, according to the sheriff's office.
Johnson was knocked down and injured by the other driver, the sheriff's office said, after running in front of the vehicle as the driver was attempting to leave. Johnson then got up and struck the driver's vehicle with his machete, causing damage to the vehicle, according to the sheriff's office.

Johnson was taken to a local hospital for treatment for his injuries. At the hospital, a Loudoun County sheriff's deputy issued Johnson three summonses for assault and battery, brandishing a machete, and destruction of property, the sheriff's office said.
