New Loudoun Co. Task Force To Address Coronavirus Test Access
Loudoun County has put together a task force to help increase the availability of COVID-19 tests in the community.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA – Loudoun County has put together a task force to help increase the availability of COVID-19 tests in the community. COVID-19 is the disease caused by the new coronavirus.
County Administrator Tim Hemstreet has organized a COVID-19 Testing Task Force, which consists of community health partners, Loudoun. Health Council Chair Dr. John Farrell, Loudoun County Health Department Director Dr. David Goodfriend and Deputy County Administrator Charles Yudd.
The task force will address the issue of expanding testing availability in the county by collaborating with organizations in the community that are currently conducting tests. They are tasked with developing recommendations to address the issues.

"The coronavirus pandemic has caused uncertainty that I believe only good science and strong leadership can solve," Farrell said. "This task force is a consortium of trusted health care professionals and dedicated government officials providing that at a local level to guide the citizens of Loudoun through the pandemic as safely as possible."
The task force will establish an online repository of information about COVID-19 testing that is accessible to health care professionals and the general public.
