New Loudoun Courthouse Set To Open In Leesburg

The new General District Courthouse will open to the public on Oct. 31, next to the existing courthouse on Church Street in Leesburg.

LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Loudoun County's newest courthouse will open on Oct. 31 in Leesburg, county officials announced.

The new General District Courthouse will be located next to the current courthouse at 2 Church Street NE in Leesburg.

The old courthouse will remain open. The Loudoun County Courthouse Complex now includes the new General District Courthouse, the older Loudoun County Courthouse, and the historic Charles Hamilton Houston Courthouse.

The new courthouse will host General District Court hearings, the Commonwealth's Attorney's office, and the Department of Community Corrections.

The older courthouse, at 18 E. Market Street, will host the Circuit Court, Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court, Juvenile Court Service Unit and the Office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court.

Free public parking will be available at the Pennington lot and garage, at 210 Church Street. The lot is located 3 blocks from the courthouse. A free shuttle service is available on weekdays.
