Maintenance will include the removal of the existing wood chip mulch, which will be replaced with a new layer. The decomposition of the existing mulch causes the surfacing to become saturated after a period of time and can often lead to drainage concerns. Applying new mulch will create a more stable, well drained surface throughout the season.
