Online Grocer Peapod Supports Guilford Elementary Fifth Graders in Valuable Lesson
Local elementary school donates groceries to food pantry with the help of Peapod.
Twenty-five students from Guilford Elementary School participated in Peapod’s Kids Give Back Program to provide $250 worth of groceries to Loudoun Interfaith Relief.
Through the Kids Give Back program, students learned about nutrition, shopping on a budget, and most importantly, helping those in need by using these skills.
Coordinating teacher, Julia Wells, said that one of her goals “is to spend more time connecting our 5th grade students on a global level. We are working to find opportunities for our students to connect with their community and to the world around them, through project based learning.”
