Online Grocer Peapod Supports Horizon Elementary Fourth Graders in Valuable Lesson
Local elementary school donates groceries to food pantry with the help of Peapod.
Five classrooms from Horizon Elementary School participated in Peapod’s Kids Give Back Program to provide $500 worth of groceries to Loudoun Interfaith Relief.
Through the Kids Give Back program, students learned about nutrition, shopping on a budget, and most importantly, helping those in need by using these skills.
Coordinating teacher, Stephanie Long, said that Horizon Elementary is emphasizing students learning through project based learning, empathy, and giving back to the community.
