PA Man Charged In Burglary Of Leesburg Retail Store
The man was extradited to Loudoun County this week following the November 2024 burglary.
LEESBURG, VA — A Pennsylvania man has been arrested in connection with the November 2024 burglary of a clothing store in Leesburg, according to authorities.
Timothy Earl Root, 59, of Philadelphia, was charged with burglary, possession of burglary tools, grand larceny and destruction of property following the Nov. 23, 2024, incident at the Aeropostale store located at 241 Fort Evans Rd. N.E., Leesburg police said in a news release.
According to police, officers responded to the store around 5:15 a.m. on the day of the burglary and found the store’s front glass door shattered and an undisclosed number of items taken from the business.

Following an investigation, detectives identified Root as the suspect. He was extradited to Loudoun County on Tuesday.
