Patch Picks

In this week's edition of Patch Picks, we give you some outdoor music options.

There are so many options for summer fun around Leesburg, but one of the best is the wide array of outdoor music options available. Here's a roundup of what's coming up in the next few weeks:

There's always plenty of musical options available at for you to enjoy, both indoors and outdoors. The First Friday World Concert is made up of members of the International Youth Orchestra Program. These children, aged 10-17 will be playing a number of events around the area.

In case you miss these kids the first time around, you can head to Reston on Sunday night for another outdoor concert at the Reston Town Center. Enjoy the many outdoor cafes and shops in the town center while listening to these talented musicians.

There are plenty of Independence Day celebrations to choose from all weekend long, the largest of which is the fireworks display at Ida Lee. This year, Ida Lee is featuring Faded Image, a Baltimore-area band that plays a mixture of 80s music, classic rock and country.

Lansdowne is jumping on the concert series bandwagon at their Town Center. Every Thursday night, head down and enjoy "specialty drinks, grilled foods, fresh salads, and delicious desserts" while listening to the mellow sounds of The Johnny Artis Band and more.
