Pumpkin Village Returns to Leesburg Animal Park

Fall festival scheduled to kick off on Saturday, September 19.

Release:

The Leesburg Animal Park is excited to announce the beginning of this year’s annual fall festival, Pumpkin Village, scheduled to kick off on Saturday, September 19. The event has been held for sixteen years and continues to offer something for everyone.

“We have a new soft play shooting gallery where kids can shoot at various targets, a new zip line, canon ball blaster, and a corn bin that kids can roll around in.” said Park Director Shirley Johnson, adding that each year promises a few new attractions. “They can also meet our new baby Serval kitten ‘Sarabi’. There is also our new Laughing Kookaburra, a bird native to Australia. Their territorial calls sound just like a person laughing.”

Between the large animal collection, live entertainment and other special events, the fall festival remains a very unique event, Johnson said.

“We are also educational in that we have live animal shows every day where kids can get up close and personal with a variety of animals and learn about their habitat,” she said.
