HILLSBORO, VA — Authorities are still investigating a shooting that was reported in Hillsboro on Thursday, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

No injuries were reported on Thursday, according to a police report.

The sheriff's office has not identified any suspects in connection with the incident.

At 11:56 a.m. on Thursday, deputies received a report that described gunfire at the Stoney Brook Farm Market in the 3700 block of Charles Town Pike in Hillsboro.

"After conducting an extensive canvass of the area, deputies cleared the scene," the sheriff's office said. "This incident is under investigation."

Authorities have not said whether they recovered any cartridge casings or recorded any property damage in connection with the shooting.

"LCSO wants to thank the Virginia State Police, Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue, Virginia Department of Wildlife Resources, and the community for their assistance," officials said in a report.
