Scheduled Events to Raise Funds for C.S. Monroe Technology Center

has a number of events planned this week that will help benefit their school, scholarships and programs. The public is invited to attend any or all of the following:


The annual sale will begin at 10 a.m. on Nov. 30 where customers will have the chance to purchase poinsettias, Cyclamen, wreaths, floral arrangements, flowering plants, Christmas cactus, and Boxwood Topiary Trees. The sale will run until 8 p.m. and will re-open on Dec. 1 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and again on Dec. 2 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be provided throughout each day and refreshments will be served by Culinary Arts. Proceeds from the sale will support MTC’s Agriculture, Food, and Natural Resources Scholarships.

The Culinary Department at Monroe Technology Center is hosting an all you can eat pasta fest on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 5 to 7 p.m. The menu includes all the fettuccine alfredo, spaghetti and meatballs, baked ziti, salad and garlic bread. Lemonade and iced tea will also be available. The cost is $8 per person. Children 5 and under are $4. Take-out will be available.


The Cosmetology Department will hold a Salon Day on Wednesday, Nov. 30 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.  A full list of services is available here. All work will be performed by students although they are not professionals. The event will be an aid in their learning cycle.

Monroe Mall
For one day only shop for one of a kind gifts created by Monroe Technology students including 20 other vendors such as Pampered Chef, Tastefully Simple, USBorne Books and more. Enjoy pancakes with Santa a gift wrapping station, and a babysitting station available while you shop. The sale will take place on Saturday, Dec. 3 from 8 a.m. to noon.

The Culinary Arts Department at Monroe Technology Center will be taking orders for Holiday Cookies now through Dec. 6. Order forms will be available at the school and on its website. All orders must be pre-paid.
