School Calendar Approved for 2012-13
The Loudoun County School Board approved next year's calendar. School starts on Aug. 27, 2012 and ends on Thursday, June 6, 2013.
The Loudoun County School Board approved the 2012-13 school calendar Tuesday night after unanimously rejecting a proposal to extend the Thanksgiving holiday to a full week. The calendar and Thanksgiving week were part of the same action item to approve the new calendar as seen below:

September 3: Holiday (Labor Day)
