Sexual Assault Reported Outside Leesburg Apartment Complex: Police
Authorities in Leesburg are investigating a sexual assault that was reported in a parking lot in the Avana Fieldstone apartment complex.

LEESBURG, VA — A woman was sexually assaulted outside of the Avana Fieldstone apartment complex in Leesburg on Sunday morning, police said. A suspect is still at large.
The police department only identified the victim as an adult woman. Authorities did not say whether she suffered any injuries in the assault.
Police described the suspect as a dark-skinned Hispanic man who was driving a black 2-door car. At the time of the assault, he was wearing a face mask and sunglasses.

The assault occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday morning. The victim told police that she was walking through the parking lot located in the 800 block of Wilkinson Drive NE when a car pulled up next to her.
The victim said the driver forced her into the car and sexually assaulted her, according to the police report. After the assault, the suspect drove away.

Authorities are asking residents in the area to review footage from their home security cameras to see if there is any footage of the incident.
