SideBar Restaurant Coming To Downtown Leesburg
A new restaurant featuring early morning breakfast items, midday sandwiches and late-night cocktails coming is coming to Leesburg: SideBar.

LEESBURG, VA — A new restaurant featuring early morning breakfast items, midday sandwiches and late-night cocktails coming is coming to downtown Leesburg. Say hello to Sidebar, 24 South Street, which hopes to open its doors in late November.
Owned and operated by Olivia Schnibbe and her husband, Nils, the restaurant also plans to make takeout service a priority. There will be a walk-up window for easy ordering and easy pick up. New sandwich creations are being mulled by the day, according to Sidebar's Facebook page.
Olivia Schnibbe told Northern Virginia magazine one of the reasons she was inspired to begin the project was what she noticed as a dearth of downtown places that serve more than just beer for the partying crowd. "Get drinks 'til you can't get drinks anymore," she said. Last call will be shortly before 2 a.m.

The name, according to the owners, is a nod to the nearby Loudoun County courthouse, where lawyers and judges often take a brief break from the proceedings for a private discussion known as a sidebar.
