ROUND HILL, VA—A man was killed Saturday morning, May 4, in a single-vehicle crash on Route 7 at the intersection of Route 711, Virginia State Police announced Tuesday. Louis Girolami, Jr., 60, of Bluemont, was taken to a nearby hospital and died of injuries later that morning.

After responding to the scene, police found the crash occurred around 7:20 a.m. when a 2000 Ford F-150 pickup headed west on Route 7 ran off the road and slammed into an embankment. Girolami wasn't wearing a seat belt and was partially ejected. The crash remains under investigation.
