Snow Emergency Route Restrictions Go Into Effect This Evening At 6 p.m., Leesburg

Four to six inches of snow expected by Friday morning.

Leesburg, VA (February 10, 2021) – Current weather forecasts are calling for four to six inches of snow, beginning this evening into Friday morning.

In preparation for snow removal operations, Town officials will put snow emergency route restrictions into effect beginning at 6 p.m. this evening.

When snow emergency route restrictions are in place, no on-street parking is allowed on the following roadways:

  • King Street, from the Union Cemetery to Country Club Drive
  • Loudoun Street, from Liberty Street to Harrison Street
  • Market Street, from Fairview Street to the Route 7/15 Bypass

A pdf version of the snow emergency routes map is available on the town website.

Any vehicles remaining on designated snow emergency routes once snow removal operations begin will be towed at the owners’ expense.

Residents are encouraged to remove vehicles and other items, like trailers, trash cans, and basketball goals, from all public roads within the town to assist snow clearing efforts.
