Snow Route Restrictions Begin Saturday Morning In Leesburg
With winter weather expected this weekend, Leesburg officials announced that snow route parking restrictions would begin on Saturday.
LEESBURG, VA — A winter storm is approaching Northern Virginia this weekend. Leesburg, along with the rest of Loudoun County, is under a winter weather advisory from 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. on Saturday.
In anticipation of winter weather, Leesburg officials announced that snow emergency route restrictions will go into effect at 7 a.m. on Saturday. These restrictions will prohibit residents from parking in certain areas of the town.
Current forecasts are calling for up to 2 inches of snow in Leesburg. Plows will need to use parking lanes as they clear roads throughout the town.

Here are the areas where on-street parking is forbidden on Saturday:
- King Street, from the Union Cemetery to Country Club Drive
- Loudoun Street, from Liberty Street to Harrison Street
- Market Street, from Fairview Street east to the Route 7/15 Bypass

"Any vehicles remaining on designated snow emergency routes once snow removal operations begin will be towed at the owners’ expense," town officials said in a news release on Friday. "Residents are encouraged to remove vehicles and other items like trailers, trash cans, and basketball goals from all public roads and sidewalks within the Town to assist with snow clearing efforts."
