LEESBURG, VA—Three students at Tuscarora High have been charged for their roles in a locker room incident earlier this month at the school, according to Leesburg Police. One was charged with sexual battery, and the others with assault and battery after allegedly assaulting an underclassman on the football team.

Police say after consulting with the Commonwealth's Attorney, they believe the allegations don't meet the criteria of hazing as defined in the Virginia State Code. LCPS became aware of the incident Oct. 5. The Times-Mirror reported the assault occurred Oct. 1, and that "the victim was held down by teammates who inserted objects into the victim after practice."

Two students are 17; the other, 16.
