Suspect Charged In Leesburg Pharmacy Robbery: Police
Leesburg police arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with the robbery, and continue to look for a second suspect.

LEESBURG, VA — Police have arrested a suspect in connection with the robbery of Rite Aid Pharmacy in Leesburg. Matthew Broome, 29, of Leesburg, was arrested recently on charges of robbery and three counts of possession of a controlled substance after police identified him as one of two suspects allegedly responsible for the robbery.
According to police, the robbery occurred around 4:30 p.m. Oct. 6 when two suspects entered the pharmacy and demanded employees give them controlled substances. The suspects then left with controlled substances from the business.
Broome is being held at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center on no bond.

Police continue to search for a second suspect, described as a black man, approximately six feet tall with a slender build. The suspect was described between 25-35 years old with facial hair.
