Teen Charged In Connection With Leesburg Armed Carjacking
A 16-year-old has been charged in connection with an armed carjacking and abduction that took place over the weekend.
LEESBURG, VA ā A 16-year-old has been charged in connection with an armed carjacking and abduction that took place over the weekend.
The male teen was taken into custody Monday night and charged with attempted robbery, attempted malicious wounding, abduction and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. He is being held at the Loudoun County Juvenile Detention Center, police said.
On Saturday just after 7 p.m., Leesburg Police were notified of a reported armed carjacking and abduction that had occurred between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. in the 100 block of Meadows Lane NE.

According to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office, three of the four victims were found with the vehicle at an apartment complex in the 20300 block of River Ridge Terrace in Ashburn and the fourth victim was still in Leesburg.
Following an investigation, police determined the suspect was known to the victims.

One of the victims suffered a minor injury.
The incident remains under investigation.
