Teen Driver Identified Who Died In Leesburg Crash

Loudoun County officials have released the name of a teen who died Wednesday when his car crashed in Leesburg.

LEESBURG, VA — Loudoun County officials have released the name of a teen driver who died Wednesday morning when his car crashed in Leesburg.

According to a news release from the Loudoun County Sheriff's office, the single-vehicle crash that occurred about 6:19 a.m. on Dry Mill Road near the intersection of Coltfield Way.

The driver of the vehicle, identified as Luke Kinkel, 18, of Round Hill, was taken to a local hospital, where he later died from his injuries, officials said.

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
