Town Of Leesburg Releases Popular Annual Financial Report For Fiscal Year 2020

Leesburg, VA (December 21, 2020) – The Town of Leesburg has released its first-ever Popular Annual Financial Report (PAFR). The new report, which covers Fiscal Year 2020, presents key information about the Town’s General Fund finances in a concise format in easily understandable language.

“The Popular Annual Financial Report is part of our continuing efforts to increase transparency about government operations for our residents and taxpayers,” says Clark Case, Leesburg’s Director of Finance and Administrative Services. “The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) is the audited account of the past year’s finances which we are legally required to produce. However, the CAFR is nearly 200 pages of dense text and financial tables. In contrast, the PAFR is eight pages of charts and infographics and is written in plain English.”

The new report is available on the Town website at www.leesburgva.gov/pafr.
