Tree Lighting Festival Saturday In Leesburg
The 8th Annual Tree Lighting Festival will be held 3-6 p.m. Saturday at the Village at Leesburg. Horse-drawn carriage rides included.

LEESBURG, VA — Things of this ilk are beginning to pop up across the nation these days, some of them modest and some of them elaborate. We're talking lights and evergreen conifers. Yep, we're talking holiday season tree lightings.
And so it shall be Saturday at Village at Leesburg for its 8th Annual Tree Lighting Festival. The Village Plaza event, at Village Market Boulevard SE and Balch Drive SE, is 3-6 p.m. Admission, of course, is free.
The tree is described as being five stories high "with a snowfall topper and more than 15,000 dazzling lights." The festival will include horse-drawn carriage rides, live performances, holiday characters, fire pits and more.
