Update: Police Chase In Leesburg Leads To Several Charges: Police

LEESBURG, VA — A Leesburg woman faces several charges after a police chase in Leesburg on Friday afternoon, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.

There were no serious injuries reported as a result of the chase, though several vehicles were damaged, the sheriff's office noted in a report.

Authorities identified the woman as 28-year-old Nicole Robinson.

After the chase, Robinson was charged with felony eluding, five counts of hit and run, and one count of obstruction of justice, according to the police report. Robinson was also served a warrant for a felony probation violation.

Robinson is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center before her court date.

The chase began on Friday afternoon when a Loudoun County deputy tried to stop the woman's car near Clubhouse Drive. The woman ignored the deputy, drove away, and hit three parked vehicles, the sheriff's office said on social media. One of the cars she struck belonged to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office.

The chase continued onto Route 15, where the woman crashed near Battlefield Parkway, according to the police report. Her car stopped a short distance later and deputies took her into custody.
