Virtual 'Fill-The-Boot' Campaign For MDA Kicks Off In Loudoun
Loudoun County Fire and Rescue is holding a virtual fill-the-boot campaign to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
LOUDOUN COUNTY, VA — Members of the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System are holding a virtual fill-the-boot campaign to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association.
The Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System is teaming up with the Loudoun Career Fire Fighters Association Local 3756 for the virtual fundraising campaign.
Due to the coronavirus crisis, fire departments across the country are supporting a virtual fund drive instead of in-person collections. Loudoun residents can donate on the website set up by Loudoun County first responders. Links to the fundraising site also will appear on the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System's social media platforms.

The Fill-the-Boot drive is a partnership between MDA and the International Association of Fire Fighters.
All funds raised by Loudoun County firefighters assist local families affected by muscular dystrophy. The donations provide families with a network of specialized clinics, financial aid for assistive equipment, support groups and summer camps for children.
