Weather Decision from Loudoun County Schools

Dangerous cold temperatures to blame for decision on classes for Friday, Feb. 20.

Loudoun County public schools are worried about the cold temperatures expected Friday. The school system released this announcement on Thursday afternoon:

After consulting with the National Weather Service and other agencies, Loudoun County Public Schools has decided to close tomorrow, Friday, February 20th, because of forecasted extreme wind-chill temperatures. Students waiting at bus stops and walking to school were primary considerations in this decision. Administrative offices will open on time.
