Woman Attacked At Ida Lee Recreation Center By 2 Men: Police

Leesburg police are investigating a theft and assault that happened Monday afternoon in the parking lot of the Ida Lee Recreation Center.

LEESBURG, VA — The Leesburg Police Department is investigating a theft and assault that happened Monday afternoon in the parking lot of the Ida Lee Recreation Center.

At about 3:40 p.m. Monday, Leesburg police dispatchers received a report of two adult men assaulting a woman in the parking lot of 70 Ida Lee Drive NW. Upon arrival, police located a 45-year-old woman in the parking lot suffering from "apparent minor injuries," the police said.

The woman found one of the men in her vehicle and confronted him. The man exited the woman's vehicle and a second man assaulted the woman in an attempt to aid their escape. The two men then fled the area in a vehicle.

Personal property was stolen from the woman's vehicle, the police said. The woman was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment.
