Woman Charged With Murder After Domestic Shooting In Leesburg: Police
Deputies arrested a woman in Leesburg after a domestic homicide on Wednesday evening, the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office said.
LEESBURG, VA — A Leesburg woman was arrested and charged in connection with a fatal shooting that occurred on Wednesday night.
Authorities have not publicly identified the victim. The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office only described the victim as an adult man.
Police identified the woman as 28-year-old Alicia Carroll. She is charged with second-degree murder, use of a firearm in commission of a felony, shooting in commission of a felony.

Carroll is being held without bond at the Loudoun County Adult Detention Center. If convicted of all charges, she could face up to 40 years in prison, based on Virginia's sentencing guidelines.
The homicide occurred at a home in the 42200 block of Fording Branch Court just after 10 p.m. on Wednesday, the sheriff's office said. When deputies arrived, they found the victim dead in the home.

Responding deputies found Carroll nearby and took her into custody.
The sheriff's office has not released any details regarding what led to the shooting.
