Woman Flees Cops At Low Speeds In Leesburg

A woman who couldn't stay in her lanes drove slowly but refused to pull over before finally stopping and trying to flee on foot: LCSO

LEESBURG, VA — A woman being chased by police Sunday night stopped her vehicle at Plaza Street and fled into woods before later being found by officers, according to the Loudoun County Sheriff's Office. Veronica S. Orozco-Lopez, 34, of Leesburg was charged with obstruction of justice.

Shortly after 9 p.m., a deputy driving on Route 7 saw a vehicle unable to maintain proper lane control. Police activated emergency lights to pull over the vehicle at Route 7 and Battlefield Parkway. The suspect then fled but at a slow rate of speed before stopping and taking off on foot.
