
The Jewish Community Center of Northern Virginia (JCCNV) will bring
comedian Monica Piper to its stage on Saturday night, February 8, for
the 9th Annual Comedy Night. A pre-show happy hour begins at 7:45pm
(cash bar). The performance begins at 8:30pm.
Before turning
to stand-up, Monica Piper was a sit-com writer, recruited by Ms. Barr
herself, to write on "Roseanne." She then went on to write for "Mad
About You" and "Veronica's Closet." Soon after becoming a mom, she
turned to animation and eventually became the head writer of "Rugrats,"
for which she won an Emmy in 2003 and an Emmy nomination in 2004. As a
stand-up comedian, she has opened for Jerry Seinfeld, Gloria Estefan,
Neil Sedaka, and The Smothers Brothers.
Tickets are $34, $26
for JCCNV members. A discount is available for groups of 10+. Reserved
