Did You Hear? The DC Metro Area is One of the Fastest Rising Real Estate Markets in the US

Yes.... according to Inman News on Monday, we are one of 10 markets with increased home sales prices. We are 4th on the list with an increase of 6% year over year from April last year. This is from Realtor.com's recent analsis of their data. We are not only enjoying higher median list prices BUT we are the fastest moving market as well. Our median list period is only 57 days.

So we've been telling you it's time to buy but it seems we have some nay-sayers out there. Maybe it's because you're listening to the national news and you don't understand that real estate is a local market, not a national market. Here in Northern VA and the DC Metro region we have seen these increases. 

As we've told you before we have been experiencing a very busy spring, we are seeing multiple offers on listings, list prices have been moving upward right here in your neighborhoods. All the while nationally the median list price is DOWN -4% It's true; many parts of the country are still struggling and appears will continue to struggle. Several metro regions in the West have seen double digit percentage drops in their median list prices this past year. Aren't we lucky we live in this area? Aren't we lucky we're seeing such good results locally? Aren't we lucky we have the job market we have to support this good fortune? When will you cash in on your good fortune?
