Virginia bordering the Potomac River is close to returning to drought conditions.  We received  ⅓" less rain this week than we usually do for the last week in June, which leaves us over 7" short for the year.  Not quite a drought yet, but as you can see on the accompanying graphic our part of Fairfax County is classified as abnormally dry. Our rainfall totals last week were as follows: Date Precip Mon 06/25/2012 0.03" Tue 06/26/2012 0.00" Wed 06/27/2012 0.00" Thu 06/28/2012 0.00" Fri 06/29/2012 0.00" Sat 06/30/2012 0.50" Sun 07/01/2012 0.02" Weekly Total: 0.55"
