Burglar Caught Red-Handed In Lorton: Police

A Fredericksburg man was arrested Friday night after being found stealing items from a resident's home in Lorton: Fairfax County Police.

LORTON, VA — A Fredericksburg man was arrested Friday night after being found stealing items from a resident's home in the 7500 block of Cullum Street, according to Fairfax County Police. Gregory Crowley, 38, was charged with two counts of burglary and grand larceny. An investigation found he had burglarized another home in the area a few hours earlier.

Around 9:30 p.m., a man told police he came home and found someone in his house. He confronted Crowley, who began to walk away with some of the victim's belongings before a struggle ensued, during which the victim asked a passerby to call 911 while he tried to keep Crowley from driving away from the home.

Crowley was injured during the altercation and was taken to a local hospital with injuries that weren't life threatening. The victim wasn't injured.
